Gaggle.Net Releases Email Archiving Solution to Satisfy the New eDiscovery Rules and Meet Open Records Laws

BLOOMINGTON, Ill., Nov. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Gaggle.Net, a leading provider of email to school districts across the country, has introduced an email archiving solution to help districts meet the new eDiscovery requirements. Gaggle.Net's long term email archiving solution gives districts the peace of mind to know they will be able to comply with litigation requests and satisfy state and federal Open Records Laws.

Gaggle.Net's solution is compatible with most email systems, including MS Exchange, GroupWise, FirstClass, Google Apps, Lotus Notes, PostFix, SendMail, @mail, MiraPoint, and iMail. With the Gaggle.Net email archiving solution, all messages are stored on two enterprise class storage systems in Los Angeles and Chicago. The storage systems are designed to work with multiple drive failures and provide snapshot capability so files cannot be inadvertently or intentionally deleted.

Recent changes to the eDiscovery Rules have made email archiving a necessity for school districts. According to the new rulings passed by the Supreme Court, school districts are required to archive all electronically stored information, including email, which could be considered evidence in the event of a lawsuit. Under the new rules electronically stored information is subject to legal discovery and failure to produce these documents can put the school district at risk for legal sanctions.

"As a leader in providing safe student email to districts, it seemed logical for us to develop an efficient, easy to use archiving solution," says Michael Kessler, Vice President of Gaggle.Net. "The use of technology, and particularly email, in school districts is growing exponentially. Because of this tremendous growth, it is essential for school districts to have an effective archiving system in place to comply with the new amendments and protect themselves against legal discovery violations. Mail system snapshots no longer provide adequate protection," he adds.

Gaggle.Net's email archiving solution provides essential benefits, such as advanced message searching, disaster recovery and a fully redundant email system. With Gaggle.Net's solution, all archive management is done via the internet, and there is no additional hardware or software to purchase or install.

"Digital transformation - what we knew about it in the past has been redefined. Automation is going to play such a huge role in that because the culture, the technology, and the business operations are being shifted now," stated Brian Boeggeman, VP of Alliances & Partnerships at Ayehu, in this SYS-CON.tv interview at 21st Cloud Expo, held Oct 31 – Nov 2, 2017, at the Santa Clara Convention Center in Santa Clara, CA.
The dynamic nature of the cloud means that change is a constant when it comes to modern cloud-based infrastructure. Delivering modern applications to end users, therefore, is a constantly shifting challenge. Delivery automation helps IT Ops teams ensure that apps are providing an optimal end user experience over hybrid-cloud and multi-cloud environments, no matter what the current state of the infrastructure is. To employ a delivery automation strategy that reflects your business rules, making r...

You know you need the cloud, but you're hesitant to simply dump everything at Amazon since you know that not all workloads are suitable for cloud. You know that you want the kind of ease of use and scalability that you get with public cloud, but your applications are architected in a way that makes the public cloud a non-starter. You're looking at private cloud solutions based on hyperconverged infrastructure, but you're concerned with the limits inherent in those technologies. What do you do?
As many know, the first generation of Cloud Management Platform (CMP) solutions were designed for managing virtual infrastructure (IaaS) and traditional applications. But that's no longer enough to satisfy evolving and complex business requirements. In his session at 21st Cloud Expo, Scott Davis, Embotics CTO, explored how next-generation CMPs ensure organizations can manage cloud-native and microservice-based application architectures, while also facilitating agile DevOps methodology. He expla...

In a recent survey, Sumo Logic surveyed 1,500 customers who employ cloud services such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). According to the survey, a quarter of the respondents have already deployed Docker containers and nearly as many (23 percent) are employing the AWS Lambda serverless computing framework. It’s clear: serverless is here to stay. The adoption does come with some needed changes, within both application development and operations. Tha...

The past few years have brought a sea change in the way applications are architected, developed, and consumed—increasing both the complexity of testing and the business impact of software failures. How can software testing professionals keep pace with modern application delivery, given the trends that impact both architectures (cloud, microservices, and APIs) and processes (DevOps, agile, and continuous delivery)? This is where continuous testing comes in. D
